March 9th

The 2026 season has begun. On the 5th, I took the Jeep out for it's first run of the year. See the Event Photos page.

March 9th

A couple of days after the Jeep outing, I took the Dodge for a pre-season test drive. The following day, I took it to the first event of the year at the North East Land, Sea and Air Museum. See the Event Photos page.

 
2025

October 28th

In a gap between poor weather, I got out on the 2025 "Colours of Autumn" tour. See the Event Photos page.

October 19th

The Autumn tree colours are just starting to show now, so I went for a Jeep drive to get some pictures. They aren't at their best yet, so another trip is planned in a week or so. See the Event Photos page.

We're almost a third of the way through the year, but I've been neglecting website updates, due to lots of other stuff going on! 

Jessie is the only vehicle that's been out so far, but despite three outings, it's not been without a few problems.

September 28th

The Dodges radiator flush was drained, rinsed and repeated, before re-fitting the thermostat and going for a test drive. See the September section of the "Ongoing Work" page and the Event Photos page.

September 27th

Two test drives later, one not so good and one much better, the Dodge may be working again. See the September section of the "Ongoing Work" page.

September 25th

The Dodge had its first engine run on the 24th. See the September section of the "Ongoing Work" page.

September 23rd

The cylinder head and accessories were fitted today. See the September section of the "Ongoing Work" page.

September 21st

The radiator, pulley and fan were refitted and all the fenders and cowl all bolted up today. See the September section of the "Ongoing Work" page.

September 12th

Work on the Dodge engine and accessories has continued through the second week of September. It's not too far away from being ready to go back together. See the "Ongoing Work" page.

After getting back from a week away, I started cleaning up the removed engine parts and painting. See the "Ongoing Work" page.

Hope had a small run out on the 25th. The trip was to get my daughter from school, followed by a trip to the petrol station to fill a Jerrycan for the Dodge. Pictures from the GPW trip and Dodge testing have been combined on one page in the Event Photos page.

Hope suffered a master brake cylinder failure, shortly after leaving home at the start of October. A new seal kit was fitted on the 10th, briefly discussed in the Ongoing Work page.

I spent a couple of weeks making some improvements to the garage. These included fitting a steel beam for my chain hoist, after loosing that facility after moving house. Not having a better place to cover it, I put the details in the M201's August Ongoing Work page.

Hope is off the road, needing a new cylinder head gasket and a stripped thread repairing. I have started this work, but haven't posted any updates as yet.

I've never been 100% happy with the colour of my 10ft canvas tent which I painted in 2014. The green over the white canvas was much lighter than it looked in the pot and it has faded more since. It was time for a repaint. See the March 2023  "Ongoing Work" page.
