Jeep Trailer

To connect up the electrics, I thought about mounting the new socket behind the registration plate, but had a quick look to see if it could replace the original trailer socket. It looked like it would fit, and so the old one was removed to try it in place. The bracket for the new socket was bent to support it at the correct height, then drilled and bolted to the floor of the rear locker.
Markings and Registration

The first thing to be painted was the registration. This was done in black and silver to match the vintage registration on the jeep, but rather than pressed aluminium, this one is just sprayed through a stencil.

Stars were also added to the side and rear using thin card stencils and sprayed through. I still need to add a serial number front and rear and 100th Bomb Group markings.

Here's the jeep and trailer at the bottom of the street for a quick photo shoot. Since the trailer has proper indicators fitted, the jeep has also been rewired to handle 24 volt indicators to match. These replace the LED versions previously fitted.

The winter side doors can be seen bulging under the canvas cover, but even with the table, doors, kitbag, tent, chairs etc, there is still more space available inside.

The last of the markings to be added was the data panel. The stencil took a couple of hours to cut out, for about 30 seconds of painting!
Lastly, here's the Roset maker's name embossed on the rear panel and the original data plate, cleaned up as best as I could manage, as it had been heavily over-painted.
