In
February 2012, the de-commissioning was complete and the B-17 ready for
static display. I went to Croft Circuit, the former RAF Croft to take some
photos. Unfortunately it was a really windy, dull day. I had hoped for
calm and a blue sky!
Assembling the aircraft in the wind was difficult and I then had to use a rope to tie the aircraft to the ground to stop it blowing away. The rope was then cloned out of the pictures. A few pictures were taken with me at some distance from the aircraft to try and get me at an appropriate size to match the B-17. |
