Stephenville American N Scale - 12 feet x 2.5 feet - Built 1980 |
|
Stephenville
was my second N scale layout and my first venture into US Railroading. The
focus of the 12 feet long layout was a six track goods yard. To the left
end of the layout, there was a war memorial, featuring a preserved B-17
Fortress bomber. The tracks at this end of the layout vanished into
tunnels.
At the right end of the layout, near the end of the yard was a petrochemical plant, and beyond that the two main lines past through trees before crossing a river, and then into a canyon. The river also turned up the canyon but came from a waterfall at this point, flowing back in the direction of the goods yard. Rolling stock was
mainly Bachmann, Atlas and Riverossi, while most buildings were from kits. |
