Ryhope Pumping Station - August 24th

I took Jessie to Ryhope pumping station on Sunday the 24th, for the North East Military Vehicle Club annual rally. This event was held at the Durham Light Infantry Museum until it closed, then moved to Ryhope around 2017.

Year on year, numbers of vehicles have decreased, I'm sure partly due to the age of the members. 20 years ago, it seemed like quite an old club, so there must be a number of members who have moved on from the hobby in one way or another.

This weekend is one of those where the Victoria steam powered pumping engine is demonstrated. It's both an impressive building and steam engine.

I could only be there on Sunday, so I don't know who turned up for the Bank Holiday Monday.
