With the Dodge off the road, needing a new cylinder head gasket, I took Jessie in Flying Control markings to Northallerton for the day. There were a good turnout of military and classic vehicles in attendance.

The last picture shows the "Golden Lion Hotel". This hotel was featured in the 1945 RAF/USAAF film "The Way to the Stars" ( also known as "Johnny in the Clouds" ). The film also used several other locations around North Yorkshire, including RAF Catterick, RAF Leeming, RAF Scorton and Thirsk for the pub interior. The film starred John Mills, Michael Redgrave, Stanley Holloway, Douglas Montgomery, Trevor Howard and Bill Owen amongst many others.
