New Alternator Test Drive - April 17th

After fitting the replacement alternator on the afternoon of the 17th, I took the Jeep out for a local test drive. It was a nice sunny day, so why wouldn't you? I stopped a couple of times on route, to check on the voltage and also to check the oil filter lid for leaks, following the oil change last week.

I was using my normal Go-Pro camera in my woodland, shooting wildlife, so fastened another lower quality action camera to the screen to record the short run out. The ride out was about 5 miles long with the charge voltage being a consistent 28 to 29 volts, just as it should be for a 24 volt system. A short video of the maintenance and the ride out is shown below.

There were no signs of any oil leaks on the trip either, so the Jeep was put back in the garage upon returning home, happy that the recent problems are now sorted.
