The weather looked good for the first day of
the Fishburn event. It was "Faith's" long awaited return to public
life, having last been on show at Tanfield Railway in 2019. It was around a
twenty minute drive to the airfield, of which a few minutes are shown in the
video below, shot on three action cameras - two on the Dodge and one of the
Jeep.
Considering there were several large or popular shows on the same weekend,
there was a reasonable turnout of military vehicles, mostly WW2. There was
also a three quarter size Jeep converted from a ride on lawn mower.
I'm not a big classic car fan so have only added a few pictures of those. In
addition to the aircraft on the live side of the airfield, there were a few
static examples from the Aircraft Restoration Group on display and open to the
public.
Jessie and Faith on display together again for the first time since September
2019.
Sunday 15th
A calm day but almost none stop drizzle.
Vehicle numbers were halved in both classics and military and there was no
flying at all. One or two different vehicles, but overall, a dull damp day.
