CAMPSITE
We needed to be off the campsite by 11am, and heavy rain during the night didn't help a speedy packing of the tent. The whole clear up took three hours. Here's the car and jeep packed ready to roll. |

ARROMANCHES We headed back to Normandy and along the coast road again, to re-visit the beaches one last time and to fill in the day before catching the ferry at 10:30pm. The first stop was the harbour at Arromanches. |

GOLD BEACH The next picture is taken along the coast from Arromanches. The second is the car and jeep, with Lynne walking off to the beach. Here we met a German military vehicle collector, also on holiday, and spent quite some time talking vehicles!!! The last picture is from the beach looking back at Arromanches. |

SWORD BEACH Further along our journey home we stopped at Sword Beach. Once again, the scene today gives no clue as to the past history of activities on the beach. Having said that, all along the Northern French coast and villages, there can be seen the flags of the UK and USA. |

| PEGASUS
BRIDGE
After Sword Beach, we crossed back over the 'New' Pegasus Bridge, but not before we were held up while it opened to let two boats through. We also noticed a Centaur Tank opposite the Pegasus Bridge Cafe which we hadn't seen on our trip to the museum. The museum can just be seen in front of the tank, over the river. |

| Le
HAVRE AREA
Arriving back at Le Havre still to early for the ferry, we drove over the shorter inland suspension bridge and went North up the coast a few miles. As the sun was lowering in the sky, we stopped at a bay where a guy was paragliding using the slope lift from the cliffs.

| Finally it came time to board the ferry, and the car and "Jessie" were parked up for the crossing, so ending almost two weeks in France. | ![]() |
