I knew the comet was around somewhere in the dawn sky, but suspected it was lost behind the houses in the street behind mine since that street is about 10 feet higher than mine. After a night imaging planets, I went for a walk down the street at around 03:15 hours on the morning of July 12th. There's a grassed area further down the street, with less houses in the immediate vicinity, though there were a number of LED street lights to avoid. So armed with my Nikon D3200, Tamron 70-300mm lens and tripod, I started searching in the bright sky. I'd wondered if I'd left it too long before going searching, but it wasn't long before I spotted it and started shooting with a number of different settings - 12-07-20
