Wickford
British OO Scale - 12 ( ? ) feet x 2 feet - Built 1977
Wickford was my first exhibition layout, built with my dad, probably over 1976/77, with its first show in 1977. It was OO scale and was a point to point layout, with a terminus station at one end and a hidden yard at the other. It was stocked with mostly Hornby locos and accessories.

This is the only photograph of the layout. I don't recall the track plan or any other details other than the dual main lines went into a tunnel to enter the hidden yard.

I don't know how long it was kept in operation for, but as my first venture into N scale was 1979, mainly for space considerations, it probably only lasted a couple of years before being sold or broken up for parts. It is so long ago, I have no recollection of its fate.
