August 6th '05 - Brake Cylinder Replaced
| On the last day of
the holiday in France, the brakes failed. This turned out to be the
master brake cylinder seals. To be sure that was the problem, and not a
wheel cylinder, I fitted a complete new unit, rather than just replacing
the seals. If it fixed the problem, the wheel cylinders were ok.
The brakes were bled and shoes adjusted, and all was well again. |

April 17th '05 - Exhaust Welded
| When first purchased, there was a small hole in the exhaust about 3/8 of an inch across. Because the hole was in the underside of the exhaust, the repair was welded on while the exhaust was left fitted to the vehicle. A wooded prop was used to hold the steel patch in place until a couple of spots of weld had been added. |  |
