Dodge Test Drive in New Colour Scheme - October 17th

I fitted the Jerrycan bracket this morning and then seeing as it looked moderately bright and dry until after lunch, I decided I'd take the Dodge for a drive and photoshoot. It isn't quite finished yet, as there's still some small jobs to do. There's paint touch ups to do on various nuts and bolts, the vacuum wipers to finish plumbing, spare wheel to paint in matching olive drab and a number of other small tasks.
It was however complete enough to go for a drive. I needed to tidy lots of tools and junk out of the truck and from around it on the floor, then remove the observer's seat so it would fit out through the garage door. Once out, I grabbed a few pictures and then the seat was refitted, then the roof bows and canvas too.

The family were then rounded up and off we went for a four and a half mile drive around the local lanes. There are a few laybys and places to pull in on the route, so we stopped there for a number of pictures from different angles. We stopped at our usual 'sunset lane' where everyone jumped out so I could get some pictures without purple coats in shot! It was strange driving the same old truck, but feeling like a new toy again.

We got home and started the dismantling so it could be parked up in the garage again and got it all done before the rain came. It's a year since our Jeep ride looking for the colours of Autumn - which turned out to be grey and wet. We were more fortunate this year!
