Sunday 16th
Back again this morning for another sunny, but more
calm day. More public around today and a couple of different vehicles showed
up. The Vulcan cockpit was once again open to the public, and the farewell
tour of XH558 has probably generated more interest amongst the public. The
museum was packed during the June Vulcan tour flypast.
The resident Austin Champ was in a more prominent place today. A visiting
Austin Tilly Light Utility truck belonging to Tom Cummings, parked up next to
the Bedford, and it was joined by the Willys MB Jeep of Paul Browning. The
Bofors Anti-Aircraft Gun was also wheeled out to a better viewing position,
and some of the NELSAM guys spent the afternoon freeing up some of the
mechanism.
