The Great North Fly In had been cancelled earlier in the year due to bad weather, and instead was held in late September. We went on Saturday, probably the better of the two days. While there was plenty of flying, the day was spoiled to some degree by an accident injuring two people. Both ground and air ambulances arrived, and the casualties were taken to hospital. They'll hopefully be enjoying aviation again before too long.
