Four vehicles from the Durham & Tees Valley MVT set out for a winter road run on December 28th. We suspected some of the planned route would be closed off due to the snow, but went out for a drive and pub lunch anyway. As we headed up to the hills past the 'road closed' sign, the snow got deeper. We decided to see how far we could get, and in the end got several miles before the tyre tracks ran out and Mike's M38 got stuck. My Jeep was next in line, so I tried to pull him out, but with one of his wheels off the ground, I couldn't shift it. Walter's Champ was then hooked up and the pair of us managed to pull him free. We headed home after that!
