1963 Hotchkiss M201
This is a 1963 model issued to the French army in 1963. According to the chassis MALT plate, it was sent for a rebuild in 1972, which is also matches the rebuild plates on the front & rear diffs, which are May 1972 at La
Maltournee. The gearbox was also replaced/rebuild in 1987 at another main workshop.
My jeep was MOT'D in Feb without any advisories, it has just been taxed free for another year.
It has no rust and is a reliable jeep.
When I bought it, it was in American markings which covered British airborne markings.
I rubbed it down to near bare metal, primer, and finally a darker green to match the French original paint.
French items for it i.e. steering wheel,
Klebers, electric wipers, cushions. gauges etc. have been sourced and refitted.
The registration numbers that you will see are the original registration when it was first issued to the French army. Verified by Andy Carter and JLM in France.
I have retained the mileage speedo that someone fitted. It comes with a full canvas winter kit. It has a full canvas seat set but no hip pads. I also have the front set of "plastic" seats with hip pads.
Vehicle had full service in March.

Coventry Climax Godiva Fire Pump and
Trailer. The pump is unrestored and the engine appears
complete. The engine turns freely. The paint on the external engine casing
is flaking and there is light rust only. The trailer is also unrestored
and for its age is in very good condition. There are six hoses and one two
way branch. An interesting trailer to tow behind any light/medium vehicle
and a must have for an AFS tender.
