Hurricane Ophelia crossed the UK on October 16/17th. As it came North towards the UK from the Atlantic, it drew dust from the Sahara and ash from forest fires in Spain, over the UK. This had the effect of filtering the Sun light, turning it a very red/orange colour. Earlier in the day, the sky also had a strange orange colour to the clouds - 16-10-17
