All Sky Meteor

I caught this very bright object, which I'm assuming is a meteor, on the all sky cam and then started to ponder just where exactly in the sky it was. I also wondered if I could plot the position of future meteors I may capture. Using the position of Polaris and the other stars, plus altitude data from the planetarium software Stellarium, I was able to plot this altitude and direction overlay onto the field of view of the all sky camera. Since the camera housing and orientation are fixed on the side of the observatory, the field of view is the same each time it is used. I can therefore use the overlay on any future captures to plot the direction and altitude of any object - 21-09-17
