Disc Sun in Hydrogen Alpha Light
In mid September, I got a Lunt LS50THa Hydrogen Alpha Solar telescope, for viewing and imaging the Sun. This scope allows imaging of filaments and prominences which can't be seen in white light. The scope arrived on Monday September 14th and despite a bit of haze, I was out imaging within an hour of it arriving. This is the first image obtained with the new set up.
I've imaged in Ha before, using the local society solar scopes, but both of those scopes were quite old technology. My new scope together with the ASI120 camera, seems to be allowing better detail to be achieved - 14-09-15
