White Light Full Disc

My old Nikon D50 started to fail, with the shutter frequently jamming. I didn't know how long it would keep going, and with the Solar Eclipse a little over a week away, I decided I would have to have a replacement. The Nikon D3200 is a starter DSLR, but its technology is far in advance of the D50, purchased nine years ago in 2006. I picked the D3200 up late afternoon on March 10th, and there was just enough time to shoot a few images before the Sun got too low. As it was, it wasn't far above the horizon, so in less than ideal conditions for imaging. However, the larger 24 million pixel sensor gives a much larger image compared to the 6 million pixel sensor of the D50. The comparison between the two is below - 10-03-15
